Fish Guts!

Daddy got to go ice fishing with his boss last weekend. The spoils didn't reflect the amount of fun had.....but their were a few fish to clean once he got home. I was joking with David that I let him come home unless he brought home some coveted Walleye. I think David secretly got rid of them to ensure another outing. I was amused with how much the kids loved watching David clean the fish. They all gathered around super daddy to watch him....and were all very impressed with daddy's talents. I love how Gracie is posing by the fish guts.....cracks me up.

Let's go fly a Kite!

I have always thought it would be so fun for the kids to fly a kite. So when Grace wanted to buy one last week with her allowance I happily agreed. I wasn't sure if the the $2.50 kite would work. But yesterday was a perfect windy day to try it out. Not to mention it was finally warm enough to head outside again. We were passing time too because daddy went fishing with his boss (fish gut pictures to come). All the kids took turns flying the kite while the others played. They all had such a great time flying the kite....even little Nathan.

Sprinter

So I have been a little confused about the season here lately. I was annoyed last week when it snowed about 3 inches....cause I am so over winter. And I was lovin the 65 degrees a couple days ago. We all took advantage of the nice day and spent most of it outside where I got some new pics of the kids. They had fun digging for rolly pollies, climbing our lilac bush (they think it's a tree) and just messing around.

This pic is just cause I like it! And I almost never have pics taken with me and my kids.

The Glory of the Lord

The other day we were playing around with our good friends who are photographers. They had they had their new flash thingy majiger with them because they just finished shooting a wedding. They thought this picture looked like David was surrounded by the Glory of the Lord. I thought so too. Kinda funny. Thanks for a great time guys.....between that and the "ethnic"pics....and the dance party we had a such a blast.

Party Time

Thank you Jesus for such great friends! I really have been blessed to get to know some really great people here. My one "crafty" friend came over for a pizza party with our kids. She also brought fun masks for the kids to decorate with clay. They had so much fun making their masks and running around with them. In fact they are still having fun with the clay....seeing as it doesn't dry out.

Super Hero's in action!

Don't you just love what happens when you force your kids to turn off the T.V. and play. The creativity flows. The kids always have the best time dressing up in super hero costumes. The difference today is that Nathan got into the action. My favorite part was when I caught them sitting in the chairs (oh I mean "cars") in the living room. They were entertained by this for at least 30 minutes. I love imagination. Makes me want to throw the T.V. out the window....well ours is downstairs so that might be difficult. Oh on a side note I was caught off guard by Elijah today too. When I told them they couldn't watch t.v. they weren't exactly thrilled at first so they turned it back on (well Nathan did). Sometimes I unhook some cable that goes to the t.v. on the wall. Elijah said "wait mom I have a solution.....just turn the cable box off". Is it just me or should I be blown away by my 5 year old using the word solution in the right context....with a better solution than mine. He is so smart!
